I am an associate professor in the CSE department of OSU and a visiting engineer at Meta. My research interests are in distributed systems, in particular fault
tolerance, scalability, and performance optimization.
I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin in 2014. My advisors are Dr. Lorenzo Alvisi
and Dr. Mike Dahlin. I received Google Ph.D. Fellowship in Distributed Computing in 2013.
I received my master's (advisor: Dr. Jiwu Shu) and bachelor's degree in Computer Science in 2008 and 2005 respectively from
Tsinghua University in China.
My research has been funded by NSF (CCF-2118745, CNS-1566403, CCF-1747447, and CNS-1908020) and Nationwide Children's Hospital (NIH 1R01HD100420-01).
